Senator Anna Kaplan Condemns Use of Nazi Salute by Political Candidates

Senator Anna M. Kaplan (D-North Hills) issued a statement condemning the use of a Nazi-like salute at recent rallies held by former President Donald Trump and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Doug Mastriano of Pennsylvania. Supporters were urged to hold up their right hands in a manner similar to the "Heil Hitler" salute used by the Nazis.

Senator Kaplan emphasized the importance of learning about the Holocaust to prevent repeating the darkest chapter in history. The use of Nazi symbolism and imagery in political events is unacceptable, and Senator Kaplan calls on all Americans to join her in denouncing it. She also calls on the campaigns to immediately stop using this salute at their rallies.
