Burned Skeletal Remains Found In BBQ Pit Identified As Woman Missing Since 2017

On July 12, 2022, while a man was hired to tidy up the backyard of a residence on Peach Creek Drive in southeast Houston, he stumbled upon a full skeleton in a built-in BBQ pit. The bones had been subjected to burning, as confirmed by investigators. At the time, the man expressed to ABC13 the eerie feeling of discovering what seemed like a forgotten soul that had remained unnoticed until then.

Tragedy Strikes as Gunman Kills Five in Texas Home

In a chilling incident described as "execution style," a suspect armed with an AR-15 style rifle has claimed the lives of five individuals in a Texas residence, leaving a community in shock.

The alleged perpetrator, identified as 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza by the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office, is currently the subject of an intense manhunt. The FBI's Houston Field Office is aiding in the search for Oropeza, who is considered armed and dangerous. An arrest warrant has been issued, accompanied by a $5 million bond.

8-Year-Old Among Five People Killed In Execution-Style Murder Spree In San Jacinto Texas

The horrifying events unfolded on Friday night at approximately 11:31 p.m. local time in Cleveland, about 55 miles north of Houston. Authorities responded to a call reporting harassment, discovering multiple victims with gunshot wounds at the scene. Among the deceased were three females and two males, including an 8-year-old boy. Disturbingly, two female victims were found in a bedroom, shielding two surviving children. Although three minors were located unharmed, they were covered in blood and subsequently transported to a local hospital.

The tragedy reportedly stemmed from a dispute with neighbors who had requested the suspect to cease firing his gun in the front yard, citing a sleeping baby. San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers revealed that the situation escalated swiftly, with victims attempting to shield their children from harm.

All the victims, originally from Honduras, were shot from the neck up, described as "almost execution style." The suspect believed to be intoxicated at the time, was captured on a Ring doorbell entering the residence with a weapon. The ongoing manhunt has revealed abandoned personal items, including a cell phone and clothing. Authorities fear the suspect could be anywhere, emphasizing the urgency of apprehension.

Oropeza is described as a 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with a goatee and short black hair, last seen wearing jeans, a black shirt, and work boots. Investigators have disclosed that he is known to shoot a .223 rifle in his front yard, evident from recovered shell casings.

The victims have been identified as Sonia Argentina Guzman (25), Diana Velazquez Alvarado (21), Julisa Molina Rivera (31), Jose Jonathan Casarez (18), and Daniel Enrique Laso Guzman (8). The suspect's wife is being interviewed, and two additional weapons were found during a search of the residence.

Community members are advised to stay clear of the crime scene, and the investigation continues. The San Jacinto County Democratic Party canceled a scheduled fundraiser, opting for a prayer vigil in solidarity with the grieving community.

Texas Woman Receives Death Sentence for Fatally Assaulting Pregnant Friend and Abducting Unborn Child

Texas Woman Receives Death Sentence for Fatally Assaulting Pregnant Friend and Abducting Unborn Child

A 29-year-old Texas woman, Taylor Rene Parker, has been sentenced to death for the 2020 murder of her pregnant friend, Reagan Simmons-Hancock, and the abduction of the unborn baby, Braxlynn Sage Hancock. The Bowie County jury deliberated for less than an hour before finding Parker guilty of capital murder by terror threat or other felony last month. The recent sentencing comes after the jury determined that Parker posed a continuing threat to society, and there were no significant mitigating circumstances in her background.

Killer Realizes She's Been Caught After Cutting Baby Out Of Victim's Stomach

During the trial, several family members of the victim provided victim impact statements. Reagan's sister, Emily Simmons, expressed the pain of losing her sister and how it affected important life events like her upcoming wedding. Reagan's mother, Jessica Brooks, directly addressed Parker, describing her as an "evil piece of flesh demon" and highlighting the brutal act of tearing her daughter open and taking the baby.

First Assistant District Attorney Kelley Crisp recounted the gruesome murder scene in her closing statement, emphasizing the horrific circumstances and the mother's fight for her child. The court heard details of the murder, involving over 100 stab wounds, defensive wounds on the victim's hands, a fractured skull, and other injuries inflicted with various objects.

The investigation began when Hancock's mother discovered her daughter's lifeless body on October 9, 2020, with a large amount of blood throughout the house. Parker was apprehended less than an hour later, holding a newborn infant, and claiming it as her own. However, medical personnel determined that Parker had not given birth to the child.

Prosecutors argued that Parker's motive was to steal Reagan's baby to maintain a lie she had told her boyfriend about being pregnant. The brutal nature of the crime and the extensive injuries inflicted on the victim played a significant role in the jury's decision to sentence Parker to death.

Judge John Tidwell formally sentenced Parker to death, stating, "You have been found guilty of capital murder and punished by Texas law to death. I formally sentence you to death." Parker has been taken to death row following the sentencing.

Juvenile Sisters, Ages 14 and 12, Apprehended in Connection with Brutal Maternal Homicide

Juvenile Sisters, Ages 14 and 12, Apprehended in Connection with Brutal Maternal Homicide

A tragic incident unfolded in Magnolia, Mississippi, as a 14-year-old named Amariyona Hall and her 12-year-old sister were arrested for the stabbing and shooting death of their mother, 32-year-old Erica Hall. The harrowing act was described as a brutal retaliation following a punishment the girls received for attempting to run their mother over with the family car, according to statements from neighbors and officials.

2 Sisters Allegedly Kill Mom in Vicious Attack Days After She Took Away Their Phones

Deputies from Pike County responded to the family's mobile home on Friday, where Erica Hall was discovered with multiple stab wounds and a gunshot to the chest. Despite efforts by emergency workers to resuscitate her, Erica Hall succumbed to her injuries. The focus then shifted to her teenage daughters, who are now in custody and facing murder charges. Both girls are slated for mental evaluations.

Sheriff Kenny Cotton revealed that the fatal attack followed an earlier incident in which the girls had attempted to run their mother over with the family car. Erica Hall had disciplined her daughters in response to this incident, triggering the alleged retaliation. Cotton expressed bewilderment at the tragic turn of events, emphasizing the incomprehensibility of the daughters' actions.

Neighbors disclosed that the killing occurred days after Erica Hall had taken away her daughters' cellphones. The timeline of events surrounding the cellphone confiscation and the attempted vehicular assault remains unclear.

Amariyona Hall, charged as an adult, is currently held on a $150,000 bond at the Pike County Jail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 29. The younger daughter is detained at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.

The victim's aunt, Robin Coney, recounted that Erica Hall was initially attacked inside her residence and managed to stagger outside before succumbing to her injuries. Coney noted that the girls denied involvement in the stabbing, claiming they were elsewhere when the incident occurred. The killing reportedly followed a late-night argument at the family's home.

Coney suggested that Erica Hall may have tried to access her gun during the assault to defend herself. After the incident, the girls calmly sought a neighbor's help, falsely claiming that their grandmother had passed away. However, the neighbor, unable to reach Erica Hall for confirmation, eventually discovers the tragic scene when Amariyona Hall's younger sister finds her mother lying outside.

In an early Tuesday morning tragedy characterized by police as a domestic incident, a woman lost her life due to a fatal shooting.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) reported that the incident unfolded on Porter Street, located just off Hoskins Road, shortly before 5:30 a.m.

The victim, 25-year-old Tyra Crosby, was fatally shot after being discovered by another woman, 51-year-old Stephanie Alexander, who investigators identified as the homeowner.

Following the discovery, Alexander was brought to the police headquarters for questioning. She is now considered the suspect in the case. Post-interview, Alexander faced charges of voluntary manslaughter and was subsequently transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Her court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

CMPD mentioned that Alexander's husband, a witness to the incident, was also being interviewed. Notably, the two women involved were not acquainted, according to investigators.

Suspect Allegedly Kidnapped and Murdered Ex-Girlfriend, Had Abducted Her a Year Earlier, According to Police

A 20-year-old man from Georgia is facing serious charges after allegedly kidnapping and killing his ex-girlfriend in a tragic incident that unfolded at a Wingstop restaurant and culminated in a deadly confrontation with the police.

Man Kidnaps Ex-Girlfriend, Kills Her after Multi-County Chase in Georgia

Reports indicate that on Sunday night, around 11 p.m., the Fayetteville Police Department received calls reporting a kidnapping at a Wingstop restaurant on Flynn Street. Witnesses described a man entering the establishment, brandishing a gun, and coercing his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend, who worked there, to leave with him.

In response to the distress calls, officers en route to the scene identified a red Chevrolet Camaro matching the description provided by witnesses. A pursuit ensued, concluding at Lovejoy High School in Clayton County, where a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver was employed to stop the vehicle.

Stalled at the school's entrance, the suspect fired a shot at the pursuing officers, prompting them to take cover. During the standoff, the man allegedly fired multiple shots inside the vehicle, fatally injuring the young woman.

Law enforcement used a chemical irritant to force the suspect out of the car, subsequently taking him into custody. The victim, identified as Khaliyah Jones, was discovered shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene.

The accused kidnapper, 20-year-old Cameron Ja'Michael Hopkins of Albany, is now facing charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault from the Fayetteville Police Department, as well as malice murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime in Clayton County. Hopkins is set to appear in court on the murder charge on Tuesday.

Tragically, this is not the first time Hopkins has been involved in a kidnapping incident with the same victim. Almost exactly a year before the recent incident, on July 16, 2022, Hopkins and another individual allegedly forced 18-year-old Jones into a car at gunpoint. In that earlier case, both men were arrested on charges of terroristic threats, kidnapping, and more. However, Hopkins was released on bond in September 2022, prompting frustration from law enforcement.

The investigation into the recent incident is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Fayetteville Police Department. The victim's family, still grappling with the tragedy, is not prepared to discuss the heartbreaking events at this time.

Mother of Two Bullitt County Children Fatally Shot Appears in Court with New Details Revealed

Mother of Two Bullitt County Children Fatally Shot Appears in Court with New Details Revealed

In a Bullitt County courtroom on Tuesday, new revelations emerged as a woman accused of fatally shooting her two children made her appearance. Tiffanie Lucas, residing in Shepherdsville, was the focus of the investigation after police responded to a distress call at her home on Nov. 8. Upon arrival, they discovered Lucas 6-and-9-year-old son with gunshot wounds to the head.

Kentucky Mother Shot And Killed Her Two Sons

During the court proceedings, Bullitt County Sheriff's Detective Richard Beahl testified as the sole witness, recounting the events of the day he responded to the double shooting on Bentwood Drive. Two neighbors had dialed 911 upon hearing gunshots from the adjacent residence.

A Ring doorbell camera captured four gunshots, with Lucas seen leaving the house approximately four-and-a-half minutes later, urgently seeking help. Beahl described finding Lucas collapsed in a neighbor's yard upon his arrival, while another officer discovered both boys covered in blood in a bedroom.

According to Beahl, a neighbor had attempted to intervene, revealing that Lucas, after collapsing, informed him that her "kids were dying."

Lucas, in her statement to the police, mentioned receiving a firearm from someone, which she left in the bedroom, implying the shooting might have been accidental. She insisted that no one else had been present in the house.

Expressing skepticism, Maurice Baker Jr.'s stepmother, Michelle Rice, and his aunt, Bobbie Baker, disputed the notion that Lucas was out of control. Bobbie questioned the plausibility of accidentally shooting a child twice and then shooting their brother, asserting that it couldn't be deemed an accident.

Lucas claimed she was in a "bad spot" and would "never do anything like this unless someone manipulated" her, reiterating that the incident was unintentional.

During questioning, Lucas' defense inquired about any attempts by the sheriff's office to detect drugs in her system, to which Beahl responded negatively. The defense successfully motioned to preserve and review police evidence.

Judge Jennifer Porter maintained Lucas' bond at $2 million cash, citing her as a danger to the public. Additionally, she ruled that there was probable cause to proceed with the case before a grand jury, advancing it toward trial.

PHILADELPHIA MOTHER OF 6 BRUTALLY STABBED TO DEATH BY FIANCÉ

A man from Philadelphia has been taken into police custody after stabbing his fiancé to death and leaving her body in a gold Honda Odyssey. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, 34-year-old Raymond Thompson turned himself in over the weekend and has been charged with killing Ashley Lockhart, 32, in a brutal knife attack. Lockhart was found in the van with multiple stab wounds to her body and face. Thompson has admitted to the killing, saying that he believed Lockhart was cheating on him. He left her body in the passenger seat of the van and then went to Kensington to use heroin before calling the police to turn himself in.

Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore confirmed that Lockhart had previously filed a Protection From Abuse order against Thompson, but the two were still living together. Lockhart’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to support her six daughters, who are returning to school soon. The page has surpassed its initial goal of $30,000, with donations going towards ensuring that the girls are not separated after the loss of their mother. The page describes Lockhart as an amazing mother who was dedicated to her children and made sacrifices for them that they will forever remember.

A man loses a Basketball Game to a Woman. Returns to Shoot her 5 times after he Loses.

According to Fox 4 News, a 21-year-old woman named Asia Womack from Dallas was allegedly shot by a friend who was upset after losing a basketball game, and she has passed away. The shooting occurred at a park near Womack’s home on Monday.

The shooter is said to have taken his kids and brother home after losing the pickup game against Womack. He then returned to the park and reportedly shot her five times.

“This is so senseless,” said Pastor John Delley to Fox 4 News. “You become embarrassed because a female beat you in basketball.”

Andrea Womack, Asia’s mother, revealed that her daughter had a close relationship with the shooter.

“This was supposed to be a friend of Asia’s. She’s eaten with the man,” Andrea said. “She’s fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way.”

Dallas police are examining footage from a store near the park but have not arrested anyone yet.

“If you know where he is, where his whereabouts are, please turn him in,” Andrea urged. “Help the family out. We’re hurting.”

Gunman sets fire to homes and opens fire on fleeing victims

According to authorities, a gunman ignited a series of fires in Houston homes during the early hours of Sunday morning and then proceeded to shoot at victims as they attempted to flee from the flames. The attack was carried out in ambush-style, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, before the perpetrator was killed by police.

The incident occurred at approximately 1 am on Dunlap Street in the southwest region of Houston, catching residents off-guard as they slept soundly in their homes. Houston Police have reported that the suspect, a Black male in his 40s who was allegedly evicted from the building, set fire to multiple residences to draw victims outside.

The assailant then hid in the darkness, dressed entirely in black attire and armed with a shotgun. As frightened residents escaped the burning buildings, the shooter took aim and opened fire on them.
