Atlanta Police Report: Mother Shoots 17-Year-Old Son During Video Game Argument 

A hospitalization ensued and legal charges were filed against a mother following a heated altercation with her teenage son on Thursday night.

Law enforcement received a distress call leading them to an apartment complex on Sparks St. SW, where they discovered a 17-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds. The young individual was swiftly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for medical attention, and as of now, his condition remains undisclosed.

Upon investigation, authorities identified the alleged assailant as 34-year-old Jaquana Butler, the victim's mother. It was revealed that an argument erupted between Butler and her son, centered around a video game console. The dispute escalated, culminating in Butler producing a firearm and firing multiple shots at her son.

Subsequently, Butler was apprehended and taken into custody, being booked into the Fulton County Jail. She faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and cruelty to children in connection with the incident.
