Remembering Donald Trump: Trump Begs Melania to Smile
During a recent visit to the Saint John Paul II shrine at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC, First Lady Melania Trump appeared to make a forced attempt at a smile in a photo shoot with her husband. Although Donald Trump appeared to be in good spirits, Melania seemed visibly uncomfortable and appeared to have a pained expression on her face. This half-smile was the first public sign of dissatisfaction Melania has shown in two years, although she caused a minor stir during Trump's inauguration and at a campaign rally in Florida shortly afterward.
During Trump's recent visit to the shrine, Archbishop of Washington Wilton D Gregory condemned the President for ordering the clearance of peaceful protesters with rubber bullets in order to conduct a photo op. The Archbishop stated that he found it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be misused in a way that violates religious principles that call for the defense of all people's rights, even those with whom we might disagree.
