Elizabeth Warren: Dealing with White Supremacists

Senator Elizabeth Warren accused President Donald Trump of being a white supremacist in the aftermath of two mass shootings in the US, one of which was carried out by a white supremacist suspect. During a campaign stop in Iowa, Warren affirmed that Trump is a white supremacist when asked by The New York Times. She accused the President of giving aid and comfort to white supremacists and of doing everything he can to incite racial conflict and hatred in the country. Warren's comments follow similar remarks made by New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who also accused Trump of not only egging on white supremacy and nationalism but of being one himself.

Other Democratic presidential candidates, including Bernie Sanders and Beto O'Rourke, also criticized Trump for his incendiary language on immigration. Warren stated that it is the responsibility of the President to combat white supremacy and not to let it flourish in the country.
