Pimp Smacking a Catholic Priest

During a Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Newark, Most Reverend Manuel A. Cruz, was violently attacked by an assailant, Charles Miller, 48, of Newark, N.J. A video of the disturbing incident shows Miller, wearing a white robe over a red suit, walking up to the altar from the crowd and striking Bishop Cruz in the face, causing him to fall backward onto the altar. The police officers at the scene quickly tackled Miller. Bishop Cruz suffered a cut lip that required stitches, and according to one officer, several of his teeth had been loosened in the attack.

The assault took place during opening prayers at a Mass commemorating the life of Catholic baseball legend Roberto Clemente, who died tragically in a plane crash while delivering aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua in 1972, shattering the sanctity of the Mass.
