Florida nanny who abused boy, 11, and got pregnant, sentenced to 20 years in prison
According to reports from the Tampa Bay Times, a 28-year-old nanny from Florida has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for abusing an 11-year-old boy who later fathered her child. Marissa Mowry was living with the family as a nanny when she repeatedly abused the boy over several months in 2014. It took three years for the victim to tell his family about the abuse. Now, five years later, he watched as Mowry was sentenced for her actions. The victim, who is now 17 years old, is a teenage father to a 5-year-old son, and his mother says that he has lost his childhood as a result of the abuse. Mowry claimed that the boy forced himself on her, but a recorded phone call between them revealed the truth. She will have to complete 10 years of sex offender probation after her release from prison.
