An English teacher in the Fort Worth Independent School District, Georgia Clark, was fired after sending discriminatory tweets to President Donald Trump calling for the removal of "illegal" students from her school. Clark believed the tweets were private but they were publicly visible, stating that "Carter-Riverside High School has been taken over" by "illegal students from Mexico." Clark also made racist remarks toward students, asking them to show proof of legal status.

The FWISD superintendent reiterated the district's commitment to treating every student with dignity and respect, as undocumented children are protected under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution.

The school district's investigation revealed that Clark's dismissal was not only due to her tweets but also because of her discriminatory comments toward students. The incident reflects the harmful impact of Trump's public and inhumane policies toward immigrants, which have empowered people in positions of authority to misuse their power.

Clark has expressed her intent to appeal the school board's decision.
