Man Threatens Protesters with Bow and Arrows

A man brought a bow and arrow to a Salt Lake City protest but was quickly taken down by protesters who surrounded him and jumped on his car. Several videos of the incident went viral on social media. The videos show the man pointing his bow and arrow at protesters, who then reacted by surrounding him and attacking his vehicle. The man claimed his name was Brandon McCormick and said he was there to help officers because he had weapons.

He gave an interview “Bloodied and Bruised” to a local TV station, KSTU-TV, but citizen videos showed him randomly pointing his weapon at people. In one of the videos, a woman challenges the man, telling him, “Don’t you dare!” when he points the bow and arrow. The incident happened during ongoing protests across the country following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
