Man and Woman Painting over BLM Street Mural

Police in Martinez, California are searching for two individuals who were captured on video defacing the city's Black Lives Matter street mural shortly after it was completed on July 4th. In the video, a man and woman argued with Black Lives Matter supporters while the woman painted over the "L" in the mural. The man, wearing a pro-Donald Trump shirt and a "Make America Great Again" hat, claimed racism and oppression to be a "liberal lie."

The community spent seven hours creating the mural, and the city granted a permit to Black Lives Matter supporters to paint it. The Martinez police called the damage "divisive and hurtful" and are asking the community for help in tracking down the vandals.
